Annual Planning Meeting

Presentation on the plans to shoot some big club films. A very important meeting and an opportunity to get involved in productions at a very early stage. Also an opportunity to pitch new ideas.

Tuesday January 20th - Zoom meeting

Writing a script using AI

During the course of this meeting we hope to write one or more full scripts using AI live at the meeting. Also a chance to have a go yourself.

In the second half we hope to use video AI to produce an actual film from one of the scripts.

Tuesday February 3rd - At St. Andrew's Church, Filton.

Hands on filmmaking.

 We will shoot, one or more very short films in the clubroom. Everybody will be involved

Tuesday February 17th - Zoom meeting

  • Annual General Meeting, when we review the year, plan the future of the club and elect the committee.
  • Supporting programme including a Review of the film short created in January using AI and a ‘Teach in’ on Creating a film with AI.

Tuesday March 3rd - At St. Andrew's Church, Filton.

Club Kit: We review and learn about the kit that belongs to the club.

Tuesday March 17th - Via Zoom

Visual Effects. An update on using digital visual effects, including ‘fix it in post’ repairs

Experimental Evening 1. We try some filming experiments… Perhaps including: Motion capture, plus ?????.

We visit the filming location(s) for the Mini Epics

Tuesday June 2nd - St. Andrew's Church, Filton.

Planning the ‘Mini Epics’. We will be re-working scripts, deciding on shot lists, appointing crew and presenter, planning the timetable of the shoot and much more.

 

Tuesday June 16th - On location

Shooting the Mini Epics. This year we hope to shoot several short documentaries about different aspects of one location.

Production planning meeting, plus discussion on future club events plus an update on current productions. The Evening will include proposals for new films including perhaps some radical ideas.

Editing , a practical, hands on evening, when we will divide into groups and edit some footage to make a montage type promo film.

Tips, tricks and techniques to help you understand cameras, settings and on-location shooting. Basic camera set-up (including format, picture styles, log files, etc.) and usage (camera choice, lens types, monitors, etc.

A non-competitive showing of member’s productions.
